Overview

When purchasing digital setting circles for your telescope, you’ll also need to have encoders installed on your scope – without these, your DSC has no way of interfacing with your telescope. The encoders are attached to your telescope’s axes and send signals to your DSC, letting it determine the position of your telescope.

The Explore Scientific Truss Dobsonian Encoder Installation Kit is created specifically for Explore Scientific Truss Dobsonian telescopes – 10”, 12”, and 16”.

Encoder resolutions:

• Azimuth – 20,480 steps or 311,296 steps
• Altitude – 304,000 steps (10”), 380,608 steps (12”), 454,600 steps (16”)
