Warranty Policy

Our goods come with a 12 month warranty period.

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:

  • to cancel your service contract with us; and
  • to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.

You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods.

If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion.

You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.

Out of warranty repairs

Astro Devices offers out of warranty repairs for our products. Please email us at support@astrodevices.com with the description of the problems and photos if required, and we will provide you with the available options and an estimate of the cost of the repairs.

Returns Policy

Astro Devices offers change of mind returns for 30 days from the date of purchase.

In case of change of mind returns, the product must be returned in its original state (i.e. no obvious signs of use and protective film is still on, where applicable) and proof of purchase must be shown. You will also incur a small processing fee from the merchant (e.g. PayPal), which will be taken out of the cost of your refund.

You can also choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem, in which case the merchant processing fee will be waived. This is when the item:

  • has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it;
  • is unsafe;
  • is significantly different from the sample or description; or
  • doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t be easily fixed.

Please keep your proof of purchase – e.g. your receipt.

Costs for shipping & repairs

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item, regardless of whether it’s a change of mind or for repair/exchange. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

If you’re getting your item repaired, we will cover the cost of repairing, processing, and shipping it back to you only if we find that the fault for the defect or failure is ours. If we find that the defect or failure is due to the fault of the customer, then you will be liable for all repair, processing, and shipping fees incurred.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
